Your meeting notes are enough.
Straight from the customer meeting to us, no spec needed. A rough user story will do.
We handle the solution architecture.
We analyse your existing app and design the solution to fit it.

How a project runs
-
You send the user story
Rough is fine, by email or on a call. Add your BC version and whether it runs SaaS or on-premises.
Import vendor price lists from Excel As purchasing, I want to import our vendors' price lists from Excel, like the item import. Log errors, prices valid from a date.
-
We read it and ask
Our BC developers and software architects read the user story and ask what a binding quote still needs. By email or on a call.
Which columns does the Excel file have?
Item no., price, valid from
Unknown item number: stop, or log it?
Log it and carry on
-
You give access to the development environment
Send dependencies that aren't in the repo as .app files. No fixed price without looking at the app.
- Repo access Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab
- .app files
- Link to environment

Target:48 hours
The binding quote arrives
Fixed price, scope, exclusions and delivery date, in writing. If something doesn't fit, you can contact us directly.

Soon our request portal will ask the first questions itself and show a non-binding price range right after.

Built like the rest of your app
Before we write a line of code, we read yours. Our internal processes work out from your environment where the new code goes and which conventions apply.

Before the first project
- What do you need from us?
- A user story, rough is fine, your BC version and access to the development environment. For acceptance, someone on your team who tests it.
- How fast do we get a quote?
- The target is 48 hours once the questions are answered and access works. The quote is binding, with a fixed price and delivery date.
- Who has access to our code?
- Only the team working on your project, and the AI services it uses. The terms cover confidentiality, and the privacy policy names the services.
- What does it cost, and how is it paid?
- A fixed price from the binding quote. Half on acceptance, the other half after a successful handover.
- What if the result doesn't match?
- The quote is the yardstick, point by point. Anything that deviates from it, we fix free of charge.
Why 7 days is realistic.
I'm Edgar Dyck, managing director of Rock IT GmbH. For 16 years I've been a software architect for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central, working in dozens of ISV and end-customer codebases. That's why we find our way around your app quickly and see, before we quote, where the new code belongs and where the risks are.
For four years I've worked in AI engineering, teaching development teams to work faster with AI and improve quality at the same time. That's how we work on your project too.
I sign off every quote and every delivery myself.
“Finally, we can bill for value, not hours.”
